Arrival at the international airport of Antananarivo. After immigration and customs formalities, meet and
greet with your guide. Proceed to money exchange then transfer to the hotel which is situated in the city centre. Rest of the day at leisure, depending on your flight schedule.

After breakfast, start the trip and drive to the famous road to the south towards Antsirabe. Have a main stop on the way at Ambatolampy, which is mainly known for its forging and foundry industry, its production of kitchen tools made of aluminum. Depending on your choice, you can have lunch there or continue straight to Antsirabe. Upon arrival, go on for a city tour. This town is mainly known for its building dating the colonial period, its thermal source, and local markets.

After breakfast, go on for another morning city tour in town and nearby villages to discover local activities. The town is famous for its building dating the colonial periods, its hot spring, semi-precious stones shops, and volcanic lakes. Walk to discover small villages.

Today, leave Antsirabe and continue to the south. Enjoy the beautiful landscape of Betsileo region on the way dominated by terrace rice fields and traditional houses.
On the way, have a main stop at Ambositra, where you will have a short city tour. This town is famous for the woodcraft shops, spinning using traditional methods and especially typical art made of wood. Have lunch there, then leave the RN7 and continue to the south east, late in the afternoon arrive towards the village of Ifanadiana, where you will discover Ranomafana national park.

Morning expedition into the Ranomafana national park to spot the best of wildlife species. Ranomafana is one of the most important wildlife sites and among the best rainforest reserves in the region.
The park is a part of the eastern corridor of the island, one of the best place to spot different endemic species such as lemurs; reptiles, frogs, invertebrates. This rainforest station shelters also many flora diversities and large kind of medicinal plants. Back to the hotel for lunch, afternoon at leisure for rest or visit the local village and the thermal station.

Leave Ranomafana and drive on to the south, passing through the big town of Fianarantsoa, then to Ambalavao where you will have lunch and visit the local paper factory to discover the famous “Antemoro” paper. Then another visit at the silk workshop to discover about spinning and weaving of wild silk using traditional methods.
After visits continue towards Ranohira, the main village at the entry of the national park with some stops on the way to take pictures, arrival at destination by the end of the day.

Satrana Lodge L-DBB

Today you will have a full day expedition into the Isalo National Park. This is among the best and most visited park in Madagascar, with astonishing landscapes made of natural massive rock uniform dating from the Jurassic era, with a typical and amazing wildlife species. The visit begins by a morning trekking into the Canyon, then to the natural pool with picnic lunch. Late in the afternoon, drive back to the hotel with a short stop at the sandstone window of Isalo to enjoy the sunset. A real post card that deserves the detour.

250 km – environ 5h de trajet

Leave Isalo in the morning and head on to Tulear, the main town of the south. At arrival visit of the arboretum Antsokay which spread large endemic and specific plants of the south region. After lunch, head on to the north to reach Ifaty, a small coastal beach village situated at about 35km. On arrival, rest of the day at leisure on the beach.

After breakfast, day at leisure. Ifaty is a quite fisherman village, far from any civilization, with a beautiful beach station and a sub-desert vegetation very rich in medicinal plants. There you can choose a lot of nautical activities, paddling on local boats, visits the Reniala spiny forest.
Protected by a coral reefs with an amazing underwater and a blue lagoon, this places is one of the best spots in the region to enjoy snorkeling, diving or relax and barefoot to collect shells on the beaches.

Depending on your flight schedule, morning at leisure on the beach. After lunch, transfer back to Tulear and straight to the airport for your flight back to the capital. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and rest of the day at leisure.

3 Métis L-DBB

For today, go on for a morning visit at Ambohimanga Royal palace, one of the most important cultural and historical sites of Madagascar, situated at about 20km into the northern part of Antananarivo. After visit, drive back in town for lunch at a local restaurant, then have a main stop for shopping at the handicraft market of La Digue. Then back to the hotel for a day use of room, followed by a late transfer to the airport and register for your exit flight.
